Milling and paving operations to begin for US 150 and US 127 in Danville
US 150/Main Street between Third Street (milepoint 13.514) & First Street (milepoint 13.654)
US 127/Main Street/Maple Avenue between Third Street (milepoint 5.402) and Argyll Woods Drive (milepoint 7.162)
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 19, 2019) – The District 7 Office has decided to move forward to permanently implement the lane reallocation proposal. Input from the public was reviewed and evaluated carefully with regard to the changes for downtown Danville. A temporary test period for revised striping and the signal system began August 1 and remained in place for a period of six weeks.
The modifications will include a street width that can be utilized for wider parking spaces, a larger median, and the opportunity to offset left turn lanes. The new configuration will provide improved safety for motorists and pedestrians.
Milling and resurfacing operations will take place for the routes in downtown Danville. The work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, November 15.
Thursday, Sept. 19 through Friday, November 15 – operations will be in effect 7 p.m. each weeknight until 6 a.m. each weekday
