Posting Bond for Inmates

If you need to file paperwork you can mail it in or place it in the District Court Drop Box outside the parking lot door at the courthouse. It is the mail box labeled “District/Circuit Court/ Drivers License Only

If you nee to make a payment you can mail in a check or money order, place it in the drop box  or call (859) 239-7362 for more information or to make a payment.


To pay a bond Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm please go to the Boyle Circuit Court Clerk’s office located on the 3rd floor of the Boyle County Courthouse, 321 West Main St. Danville KY. 40422

Payments made at the Circuit Clerks may be made by Cash or Certified Cashier’s Check. Credit Cards may only be used for 10% bonds. Bonds shall include a $25 Court filing fee.

The Boyle County Detention Center will take Bonds without a monetary value at any time. Monetary bonds will only be accepted at the Detention Center on weekends or when the courthouse is closed for Holidays. Payments made at the Boyle County Detention Center may be made using Cash or Credit/Debit Card. All bonds paid at the Detention Center shall include a $25 filing fee, $25 administrative Booking Fee and a $12 Boyle County Detention Center Jail Fee.

Property Bonds and bonds $10,000 or greater may ONLY be paid at the Circuit Court Clerk’s office at the Courthouse.

Persons posting bonds must have a picture ID, be at least 18 years of age and must not be an attorney or law enforcement professional.
